I think you need to charge the rental fee of a skid steer plus the labor it takes to operate one. So I would say 0 upfront and - an hour even if you own the skid steer. If you are an ace w/ a bobcat(not me) then I would charge near 0. I could pay them /hour & possibly loose money, but my system is allowing them to to make closer to -13/ hour (sometimes more) & I am not loosing money. Also, my bookkeeping is far simpler than if I were having to keep track of hours etc. hey guys just wondering on what everybody here paid for there skid steer know matter what brand it is or what you paid for your ctl.. before i bought my. It will more than pay for itself, and every extra hour goes straight to your bottom line. Rentals, you're paying for the maintenance up front (daily/weekly charge) which can be a plus and a minus, but rates can (and have a lot in the past year) go up.
lol, we're probably not signing 2 contracts this year because the rates for a skid loader are set to per hour. i mean if i owned a 1996 bobcat with a 0 10 year old beat box, maybe thats fine, but our 50k Deeres are not sitting at a lot for 4 months out of the year almost to hope for /hr billing with a big snow storm, we have 2hr . Base Wage: .00 per hour. Bonus: .00 per hour. So, this employee actually made per hour, but per hour was banked and then paid out on April 15th when he completed the snow removal season with us.
