I wouldn' buy a Chinese excavator for a number of reasons. A. I don't like being conned. If the product is good it will come to pass that it has a good reputation, has proven lasting power, smoothness of operation, safe to operate, reliability and parts are readily available. In my view the Chinese excavators fail all of these criteria. B.
I have hard time navigating Alibaba and very few reviews.looking for 3.5 ton no name Chinese excavator. There is company called cael in Canada that imports these machines but charge k plus tax when factory charges k plus customs,etc. These machines don't seem to have model numbers or. Sany are chinese. We just got a "dealer" here in town, its actually a guy that came to town and parked 6-7 of them in a lot- various sizes. He's renting them out. I talked to one guy that rented one, and he said it looks a lot better than what it actually runs like. They were happy to send it back off rental, and weren't interested in buying it. I think how to choose a excavator depends your puchase budget. If it is enough, of course I suggest the America Brand, Like Cat. Or you can choose some other famous brand like jcb, dossan and also you can choose chinese brand sany, xcmg.

I've got 4 Takeuchi TB180FR, a TB53FR, and, a recently acquired Yanmar Vio55. They've all been great machines, but, the FR Takeuchi machines have a cramped cab due to the side shifting boom, and an afterthought air conditioner.
