I added fuild to the resevoir, but noticed that it did not cycle back into the engine. Thermostat can go bad but rare. make sure the fan, no the alternator belt, is on. Super easy way to tell, start it, air to blow out the side of the machine. Check coolant level also. #1. Looking at the engine from the back of the machine, it'd on the right side top of the engine where the upper radiator hose connects. Two bolts remove the thermostat housing. Is it overheating or not warming up? Not saying they can't go bad, but rarely do.

I run the Bobcat running up and down 15 degree hill picking up mulch for about half an hour to an hour. The common problem for Bobcats skid steers overheatingI am working on a bobcat skid steer s150. The radiator fan is not starting. What can be the issue? Where should I start? A couple things to try. First, take out the thermostat completely and see if the issue still occurs. If not, bad thermostat. (Yes, they can be brand new and bad) Second, loosen the radiator cap or pull up the release lever if so equipped. Check issue, if not occurring get a new cap. If yes replace cap.
Don’t let your skid-steer or compact track loader leave the garage after its scheduled maintenance without checking everything that keeps the cab warm. Inspect the door and window seals to make sure heat won’t escape.
