I've seen guys take tracks off in 30 minutes, some take about an hour, depends on how quick you are and the brand of tracks as I know some are easier to remove than others. Anyone know where I can get over the tyre tracks for mini skid steer loaders? Similar to these - The following dimensions are crude; we put a measuring tape around both tyres to work out the length of the track required, the distance was 2910mm. The width of the tyres are 130mm. Width is not too important because we can always change the tyres. Seriously, I never had a problem with maintenance issues running steel OTT's. The last skid I ran OTT's on was a 2000 863 I bought new. Traded her with 2.5k hours on the meter in 2007 for a new S250. All of those 2.5K hours weren't running OTT's but I would say 600-800 hours of the 2.5K were running OTT's, mostly in winter.
Loegering tracks held up the best, and were the easiest to install, but we had to use wheel spacers, and OTT tracks caused tons of premature drive chain failures. With tracks and wheel spacers on these 1845C's, the increased width was enough that they wouldn't fit between the fenders on some of our trailers.
