D&E did all of the machining on the large gearboxes used on each side of the Hydra Macs. The castings came from across the street at Wahpeton Foundry. Both of these businesses have been closed for many years now. Anyone have any experience tweaking the T-Handle linkage on an older hydra-mac. Mine is so touchy it is very hard to control. I have a Hydra Mac Commander 4200 rubber track skidsteer. Its around a 94' i think and has the 3cyl Perkins diesel. It has a hydraulic pressure track adjuster system with a small knob type valve that adds pressure to the idler hydraulic cylinders to tension the tracks. But I found this little Hydra Mac on craigslist and checked it out earlier tonight. Even though it's just got that little 22hp engine in it, I was surprised at how well it moved around and the odd T-handle controls seem like they won't be all . Hydra-Mac was a very heavy duty machine, they built the Gehl and International machines in the '70's and early 80's. They used Isuzu Diesels in the 80's and you should be able to get parts for the Isuzu if you search it out by the model.
