I have put an ad on craigslist that I'm looking for a skid steer around 00 and I have gotten a few emails. What do you guys think is the best deal and how much do you think it's worth? I purchased this L445 as a non runner a couple years ago. I finally found some time to work on it and I have the engine running nicely. The problem I'm having is the skid steer moves forward slowly and when you attempt to go in reverse it will take off at full speed and you can't get it to stop unless you slam the levers forward several times . Hey guys I'm used to using the big 5500-6000lb skid steers but was looking at a 3300lb NH L455 instead of my John Deere 1025R for moving dirt into my small 1 tom dump truck . Was looking at a local L455 with only 1000hrs on it and . 25. Nov 4, 2011. #2. This machine had water in the hyd system and froze last winter. When it was started it made a popping sound and lost all hydrualics. I took out the screen on the inlet line to the pump and cleaned it. Removed pump and found that it was bad (internal). Replaced pump and changed fluid.
