Hi guys I have a cat 301.5 (3YW03131) with final drive issues, if i am working in mud it will stop the motors to the point where both motors will not respond to the levers and i have to drag myself about with the bucket until it comes back to life. sometimes when using the machine on clean. I recently purchased a cat 301.5 excavator and upon using it i noticed that it would stall when i would use lots of power to dig or use both tracks in opposite directions to turn around or use multiple hydraulic functions simultaneously. Also, the machine approaches high temps (borders redline).
I have exactlty the same problem with same machine cat 301.5 sudden loss of hydraulics and engine wont restart. Did you solve the prolem (I hope so!) can you please share and tell me what I should check. Everything seems ok I have tested fuses, relays.etc thanks in advance for any help! Zelda

Hi I have a 2002 cat 301.5 i was moving it and had to lift the main boom, the boom started to lift then just stopped also the bucket will not work or the dipper arm and it will not track. It will swing and the blade will work so nothing on the . serial number 3yw000850. no start not getting fuel. I was thinking feul pump. Is the pump electric or manuel. A 10 amp fuse will blow when you hit the key. There is a wire that goes to a round cylinder off the left end of the injectors when standing looking at the engine. when I .

Wanting to put a strobe and am/fm radio in my mini. All of my other cat stuff is commonly wired. I know there was a year break when cat wasn't doing this.
