Theres a video on YOUTUBE showing a guy using a JCP Brush hog and within 5 minutes of light cutting the 2 bolts that secure the blades to the stump jumper SNAPPED OFF. Very dangerous in my opinion. For compacting soil a vibratory sheep's foot roller works very good but in reality a dozer, skid steer, backhoe, etc. can attain this, it's just a matter of time and what you have available. Another method we use with our heavy clay soils is a loaded tandem dump.
Hello everyone, I have a possible solution to very popular "THUMBWHEEL SWITCH" problem that seems to plague these CAT skid-steers. I have managed to REPAIR the one in my 226b. I have also repaired 2 other switches for a couple members of this forum. One member had a 229d and the other had a 257b.
